How To Make Instant Pot Meatloaf

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, onion, bell pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, thyme, and oregano. Mix until well combined.

  2. Shape the mixture into a loaf shape and place it on a piece of aluminum foil.

  3. Create a sling with the aluminum foil by folding the sides up to create handles.

  4. Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot and place the trivet inside.

  5. Carefully lower the meatloaf onto the trivet using the aluminum foil sling.

  6. Close the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to sealing position.

  7. Select the “Manual” or “Pressure Cook” setting and set the timer for 30 minutes on high pressure.

  8. Once the cooking is complete, perform a quick pressure release.

  9. Carefully remove the meatloaf from the Instant Pot using the aluminum foil sling.

  10. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the meatloaf.

  11. Place the meatloaf under the broiler for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.

  12. Allow the meatloaf to cool for a few minutes before slicing.

  13. Serve warm and enjoy!
