Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, oats, milk, onion, bell pepper, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.

  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf shape and place it into a greased loaf pan.

  4. Spread the remaining 1/4 cup of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

  6. Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
