How To Make Glazed Ham Loaf

Add a surprising twist to your traditional meatloaf with this ham loaf recipe. Ground ham and pork mixed with eggs and bread crumbs in one delicious bread.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • ½onion,finely diced
  • 1tbspbutter
  • 3cupsground ham,or very finely diced ham
  • 1lbground pork
  • 1egg
  • cupbread crumbs,seasoned
  • ½cupmilk
  • tspblack pepper,ground

For Toppings:

  • ¼cupbrown sugar
  • 1tbspdijon mustard
  • 2tbspcider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Cook onion in butter for 5 to 6 minutes or until tender. Cool completely.

  3. Combine all loaf ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

  4. Place on a parchment-lined pan and form into an 8×4-inch loaf. Bake for 1 hour or until the inside of the loaf reaches 160 degrees F.

Toppings:

  1. Combine topping ingredients and spread over the top of the loaf during the last 20 minutes of cooking.

  2. Rest for about 5 to 7 minutes before slicing.
