This Italian meatloaf recipe is just like the one at Romano’s Macaroni Grill! The ground beef gives it that rich flavor that really makes this dish stand out.

How To Make Copycat Macaroni Grill Italian Meatloaf

  • 3/4 lb. bread crumbs
  • 4 cups milk
  • 5 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 lb. yellow onion (diced)
  • 1 lb. mushrooms (diced)
  • 12 sage leaves
  • 6 ½ oz. ketchup
  • 4 eggs
  1. Mix the bread crumbs and milk then refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  2. In a mixer, place the remaining ingredients and mix on low speed for 4 minutes.

  3. Add the bread-crumb mixture to the meat mixture and mix for 4 more minutes. Place the mixture into a greased loaf pan.

  4. Cover the meatloaf tightly with plastic film and then with foil. Poke holes to allow the steam to escape.

  5. Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let cool and serve.
