How To Make Chocolate Candy Bar Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 4 chocolate candy bars, chopped (such as Snickers or Milky Way)
  • Whipped cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.

  3. Add milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.

  4. Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth. Fold in the chopped chocolate candy bars.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  8. Serve the cake with whipped cream.
