  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (green, purple, orange, or any Halloween colors)
  • Edible googly eyes

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a clean mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until they form soft peaks.

  3. Gradually add the sugar, a tbsp at a time, until the mixture forms stiff peaks and becomes glossy.

  4. Gently fold in the vanilla extract.

  5. Divide the mixture into separate bowls and add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl. Mix well to incorporate the colors.

  6. Spoon the colored meringue mixture into piping bags fitted with large round tips.

  7. Pipe the meringue onto the prepared baking sheet, creating monster-shaped blobs.

  8. Place edible googly eyes on each meringue monster.

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 90 minutes, or until the meringues are dry and crisp.

  10. Allow the meringue monsters to cool completely before serving.
