How To Make Slow Cooker Meatballs
This meatballs recipe calls for slow-cooked ground beef, cheese, and various herbs and spices mixed with a hearty tomato sauce. Best served over pasta.

- 1½lbsground beef,use 90% lean
- ¾cupItalian breadcrumbs
- ¼cupparsley,fresh, chopped plus more for serving
- 1tspgarlic,minced
- ½cuponion,minced
- 1egg
- ⅓cupparmesan cheese,grated, plus more for serving
- 1tspsalt
- ¼tsppepper
- Cooking spray
- 28ozMarinara Sauce
- 16oztomatoes,crushed
- 15oztomato sauce
Instructions

Preheat the broiler. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.

Place the ground beef, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, onion, egg, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix until well combined. If it’s hard to get everything to mix together, add a little water, a teaspoon at a time until a smooth mixture forms.

Shape the meat into 1-inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet.

Broil the meatballs for about 8 to 10 minutes until browned.

Place the meatballs in the slow cooker. Add the marinara sauce, crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce and stir gently to combine.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours or High for 3 to 4 hours.

Top the meatballs with a sprinkling of parsley and parmesan cheese, then serve.
