Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Shape the mixture into small meatballs and place them on a greased baking sheet.

  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.

  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and soy sauce.

  6. Pour the sweet and sour sauce over the cooked meatballs.

  7. Return the meatballs to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, until the sauce is heated through.

  8. Serve the sweet and sour meatballs as an appetizer or over rice or noodles as a main dish.
