How To Make Cast-Iron Cheesy Baked Meatballs
These hearty baked meatballs loaded with stretchy cheese makes the perfect dinner meal! Whip this up in the skillet and oven in just under an hour.

Ingredients
For Meatballs:
- 1½lbground beef,or veal
- ½red onion
- ½cupbreadcrumb
- fresh parsley
- salt and pepper,to taste
- 1egg
- 1garlic clove,minced
- 2tbspolive oil
For Marinara Sauce and Topping:
- 2tomatoes,diced
- 1cuptomato paste
- ½onion,chopped
- Italian seasoning
- 1cupcheese,shredded, mozzarella or cheddar
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Chop the red onion, garlic, and parsley.

Mix the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, and parsley.

Shape into balls around the size of a golf ball.

Heat the olive oil on a cast-iron pan.

Add the meatballs, then leave them on until crispy and brown on the outside.

Add onions to the pot, cook until translucent, then add the tomatoes. Stir to combine.

Add the tomato paste, then simmer for 10 minutes. Add the Italian seasoning.

Transfer the sauce into the cast-iron pan, then nestle the meatballs in the sauce.

Sprinkle the cheese over the meatballs.

Bake for 20 minutes.
