How To Make Valentine Sugar Cookie
It’s easier to say I love you with this Valentine-themed sugar cookie. They’re festive, decadent, and you can even customize your designs.

Ingredients
For Cookie:
- ¾cupbutter,softened
- 8ozcream cheese,softened
- 1cupsugar
- ½cuppowdered sugar
- 1egg
- 1tspalmond extract
- 2¾cupsall purpose flour
- ½tspbaking powder
- ½tspsalt
For Frosting:
- ⅓cupbutter,softened
- 4½cupspowdered sugar
- ¼cupmilk
- ½tspvanilla
- ½tspalmond extract
- orange food coloring
For Topping:
- red and pink decorating gel and Valentines sprinkles

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Cream butter, cream cheese, sugars, egg and almond in large bowl (or Kitchen-Aid) until fluffy.

In a separate medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.

Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Stir until soft dough forms.

Roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Thin dough will make crunchy cookies. If you want soft dough, it needs to be about ⅜ in.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes on greased pan. Let cool.

Make frosting by mixing all ingredients with hand mixer. If too thick, add a tad more milk.

Frost the cookies with pink and red frosting.

Use the decorating gel to add texture to the hearts. Sprinkle with red and pink sugar sprinkles and let set to harden before gifting or delivering.
