How To Make Grinch Cookies
Nothing says ‘Merry Christmas’ better than these vibrant and chewy Grinch cookies that are decorated with red and green M&Ms!
Combine the butter and sugar in a large bowl and use an electric mixer to beat for about 1 minute until well-combined and light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and food coloring, until well-combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Set the mixer to low speed and gradually stir dry ingredients into butter mixture. Add the ingredients and stir until well-incorporated. Fold in the M&M candies.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Chill in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Once the dough has finished chilling, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Drop the cookie dough by heaping 1½ tablespoons-sized scoops onto prepared cookie sheets, for perfectly round cookies roll dough using hands into a smooth ball.
Bake for 11 to 13 minutes.
Allow the cookies to cool completely on the cookie sheet before removing.
Serve and enjoy.
If desired, gently press additional M&Ms into the tops of each cookie for decoration while they are still warm.
