How To Make Tahini Butter Cookies

Whip up a rich batch of these tahini butter cookies, made with a Middle Eastern sesame paste, for an earthy and creamy sweet treat!

  • 1cupbutter
  • ½cupwhite sugar
  • 1tspvanilla extract
  • ½cuptahini
  • cupsall purpose flour
  • ½tspbaking powder


  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla and tahini, mix until well combined.

  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour and baking powder, then stir into butter mixture. Drop onto an ungreased cookie sheet in tablespoon-sized pieces.

  4. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes until they turn golden brown.

  5. Cool on the cookie sheet 10 to 15 minutes before removing to cool on a wire rack.

  6. Serve and enjoy!
