How To Make Simple Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
You can never go wrong with chewy chocolate chip cookies! This recipe makes a delightful twist to your usual treats with extra oats for more deliciousness.

Ingredients
- 1½cupsall purpose flour
- 1tspsalt
- 1tspbaking soda
- 1cupshortening
- 1cupbrown sugar,packed
- ½cupwhite sugar
- 1tspvanilla extract
- 2eggs
- 2cupsoats,rolled
- 2cupssemisweet chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Brush baking sheets lightly with vegetable oil.

Combine flour, salt, and baking soda on waxed paper.

Beat together shortening, sugars and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs and beat until light and fluffy.

Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in rolled oats and then chocolate chips.

Drop batter by rounded teaspoonfuls onto baking sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or till golden. Cool cookies on sheets for 2 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
