How To Make Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup store-bought caramel sauce
- Sea salt flakes, for topping
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a separate larger mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla extract and egg, and mix until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Press a small indent into the center of each cookie using your thumb or the back of a spoon.

Fill each indent with a small amount of caramel sauce.

Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt flakes on top of each cookie.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
