Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Confectioners’ sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat a pizzelle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and baking powder.

  3. Add the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.

  4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the preheated pizzelle iron. Close the iron and cook for about 30 seconds, or until golden brown.

  5. Carefully remove the pizzelle from the iron and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  6. Repeat with the remaining batter.

  7. Dust the cooled pizzelle with confectioners’ sugar before serving.
