How To Make Perfect Vegan Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of vegan margarine, softened
- ¾ cup of granulated sugar
- 2 tsp of vanilla extract
- ½ tsp of baking soda
- ¼ tsp of salt
- ¼ cup of plant-based milk (such as almond or soy milk)
- Vegan sprinkles or colored sugar (optional)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the vegan margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add in the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Stir in the plant-based milk until a soft dough forms.

Roll the dough into small balls and place them onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass or your hand.

If desired, sprinkle the cookies with vegan sprinkles or colored sugar.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
