How To Make Mexican Bride Cookies

  • 2cupsall purpose flour
  • ½cupconfectioner’s sugar
  • 1cupbutter,softened
  • 1pinchsalt
  • 1cuppecans,chopped
  • 1tbspvanilla extract


  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees F.

  2. Mix the flour, sugar, salt, and nuts together in a medium bowl. Stir in the vanilla. With hands or with a pastry cutter, work the butter into the flour mixture until it becomes a ball.

  3. Shape the dough into 24 1-inch flat circles, and place on a cookie sheet.

  4. Bake for 30 minutes or until they are lightly browned. After they have cooled on a rack, dust them heavily with confectioners’ sugar.

  5. Serve and enjoy.
