
How To Make Koulourakia (Greek Easter Cookies)
Easter is always around with this koulourakia (Greek Easter cookies) recipe. Cookies that are crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. A sweet dessert perfect for kids and the kids at heart.

Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1½ cups white sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1⁄2 cup orange juice
- orange zest, from 1 orange
- 6 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1⁄2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For Egg Brush:
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1⁄3 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a medium bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda until combined.
- In a large bowl, Cream together butter and sugar with a beater. Slowly add the sugar. Then add orange zest. Add eggs one at a time alternating with orange juice. Add vanilla extract.
- Add the flour mixture gradually while mixing to form a soft dough. Cover and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Take dough out from the fridge and take small amounts by hand. Shape as preferred.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place shaped cookies on it, with a spacing of 2 inches apart.
- In small bowl, add milk and eggs. Whisk until combined. Brush cookies with mil mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Take cookies out and let cool in the pan until room temperature. Serve.
