Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
-
Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
-
In a separate bowl, mix together the honey, milk, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
-
Divide the dough in half. Roll out one half of the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter or a sharp knife. Repeat with the other half of the dough.
-
Place the graham crackers onto the prepared baking sheet and prick each cracker with a fork to prevent them from puffing up.
-
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges. Allow the crackers to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
