- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt.

Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and vanilla extract. Gradually pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
-
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Gently knead it a few times until it comes together into a smooth ball.
-
Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness. Use a cookie cutter to cut out your desired shapes. Place the biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet.
-
Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown on the edges.
-
Remove from the oven and transfer the biscuits to a wire rack to cool completely.
-
Once cooled, dust the biscuits with powdered sugar before serving.
