How To Make Gingerbread Jumpers

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Mix in the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.

Divide the dough in half and shape each half into a disk.

Wrap the dough disks in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to a 1/4-inch thickness.

Use a jumper-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes from the dough.

Place the shapes on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden around the edges.
