How To Make Frosted Maple Pecan White Chip Cookies
This crisp, pecan cookies are infused with white chocolate chip and maple flavoring that will tickle your taste buds. A delightful frosted-like icing is slathered on top and you can make this decadent snack in a jiff!
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup vegetable shortening
- ½ cup butter, or margarine, softened
- 2 eggs, large
- 1 tsp maple flavoring
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- ½ cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup pecan , halves (about 60)
Maple Frosting:
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp milk, or more if needed
- ¼ cup butter , or margarine, softened
- 1 tsp maple flavoring
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a medium bowl, sift the flour and baking soda.

In a separate bowl, beat the brown sugar, vegetable shortening, butter, eggs, maple flavoring, and vanilla extract until creamy.

Gradually beat in the flour mixture.

Stir in morsels and chopped pecans.

Using a rounded tablespoon, drop the batter onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 9 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown.

Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes then move to wire racks to cool completely.
For frosting:

Combine powdered sugar, milk, butter and maple flavoring in a medium bowl.

Stir until smooth.

Spread with maple frosting on the surface of the cookie and top each cookie with a pecan half.
