Dark chocolate cookies have the perfect balance flavors. This recipe uses dates to add texture and sweetness to the all-time favorite treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4cupsplain flour
  • 2tspbaking powder
  • 1/2tspsea salt
  • 1/2cupdate(pitted and chopped)
  • 1cupdark chocolate
  • 1/4cupagave nectar
  • 1cupgolden syrup
  • 1/2cupunsalted buttermelted
  • 1tbspvanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking tray with baking paper.

  2. Mix together all the dry ingredients in a small bowl (including the dates and the chocolate).

  3. In a separate small bowl, mix together all the wet ingredients.

  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.

  5. Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the baking tray.

  6. Bake in the oven for 11 minutes and let the biscuits cool for 1 minute on the tray before moving to a wire rack to cool completely.

  7. Serve.
