How To Make Coconut Cookies

These coconut cookies will definitely hit the spot if you’re looking for a light dessert that’s inspired by the flavors of the tropics.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • cupsall purpose flour
  • ½tspbaking soda
  • ¼tspsalt
  • ½cupbutter
  • ½cupbrown sugar,packed
  • ½cupwhite sugar
  • 1egg
  • ½tspvanilla extract
  • 1⅓cupscoconut flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a small mixing bowl add the the flour, baking soda and salt. Mix and set aside.

  3. In a separate medium sized bowl add the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Cream them together until smooth.

  4. Add the egg and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy.

  5. Add the flour, a little at a time, until incorporated. Mix in the coconut.

  6. Drop, 3 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheet.

  7. Bake until lightly toasted, for about 8 to 12 minutes. Move to a wire rack and cool.
