How To Make Chocolate Cookie

Satisfy your sweet tooth cravings with this loaded chocolate cookie! This oversized snack is a fudgy, brownie-like treat that’s perfect for sharing.

  • 2tbspunsalted butter,softened to room temperature
  • 2tbspgranulated sugar
  • 2tbsplight sugar,or dark brown, packed
  • 2tbspegg,beaten
  • ½tsppure vanilla extract
  • ¼cupall-purpose flour,spooned and leveled
  • 2tbspnatural unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½tspbaking soda
  • ¼tspsalt
  • ¼cupdark chocolate chips,or semi-sweet chocolate chips, plus 1 tbsp, divided
  • sprinkles,optional


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Set aside.

  2. In a medium-size bowl, mix the softened butter and sugars together with a spoon or fork until creamed. Mix in the egg and vanilla.

  3. In a separate small bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

  4. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix to combine. Fold in ¼ cup chocolate chips.

  5. Place the dough in the center of the baking sheet and mold it into a tall ball using a spoon. Dot the top of the cookie with 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips. Add the sprinkles on top.

  6. Bake for 14 to 15 minutes or up to 16 minutes. Allow cooling completely on a baking sheet.

  7. Serve and enjoy!
