How To Make Chewy Bar Cookies

Ingredients
- 2tbspbutter
- 1cupbrown sugar
- 1cupwalnutschopped
- ⅓cupall-purpose flour
- ⅛tspbaking soda
- ⅛tspsalt
- 2eggs
- 1tspvanilla extract
- ⅓cupconfectioners’ sugarfor decoration
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan, melt the butter.

Stir together the brown sugar, nuts, flour and salt in a bowl.

Add the eggs and vanilla.

Carefully pour the flour and egg mixture over the melted butter without stirring.

Bake at for 20 to 25 minutes.

Sift confectioners’ sugar over top after baking.

Place wax paper under the wire rack, then immediately invert the baking pan onto the rack.

Let the bars cool, then dust again with confectioners’ sugar.
