How To Make Butter Cookies With Candied Cherries
These butter cookies are absolutely divine since they melt in your mouth with every bite. We topped off ours with candied cherries for extra sweetness.

Ingredients
- 1cupbuttersoftened
- 1cuppowdered sugar
- ¼tspsalt
- 1tspvanilla extract
- 1largeegg
- 2¼cupsflour
- 18candied cherriescut in half
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Beat butter, powdered sugar, and salt until very light and fluffy, 3 to 4 minutes.

Mix in vanilla and egg. Add flour a little bit at a time until well mixed.

Roll 2-inches of the balls, leaving at least 1-inch between cookies on the baking tray, and flatten slightly. Top with half of a cherry.

Bake until lightly browned on the edges, about 12 minutes.

Cool completely.
