Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cups brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well-combined.

  3. Gradually add the eggs and vanilla extract. Once it appears well-incorporated, set the bowl aside.

  4. In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking soda, and cornstarch. Throw in the salt and whisk until well-combined.

  5. Gently fold in the dry mixture into the wet mixture in small batches, making sure to scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl.

  6. Mix in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until well-combined.

  7. Cover the dough and chill for 2 to 3 hours.

  8. Once chilled, line the baking sheet with parchment paper and use an ice cream scoop to roll the dough into balls.

  9. Line them an inch or two apart and bake for 12 minutes.

  10. Place them on a cooling rack to cool.

  11. Bite into soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies as the chocolate chips melt in your mouth!
