How To Make Reese’s Krispie Treats
A batch of no-bake krispie treats makes the best afternoon munchies! It’s loaded with Reese’s peanut butter cups for a sweeter treat.
- 1cuplight corn syrup
- 1cupgranulated sugar
- 1cuppeanut butter
- ½cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1tspvanilla extract
- 4½cupsrice krispies cereal
- 6Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, regular size, each diced into 8 pie shaped wedges
In a medium saucepan, combine the corn syrup, sugar, and salt, then bring the mixture just to a boil over medium heat, whisking constantly.
Once the mixture reaches a boil, reduce the heat slightly and allow to gently boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat, then add in the peanut butter, chocolate chips, and vanilla.
Stir the mixture until the chocolate chips have completely melted.
Pour in the Rice Krispies Cereal, then toss the mixture to evenly coat.
Pour the mixture into a buttered 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking dish, then gently spread and press into an even layer.
Allow to cool until just warm to the touch, then evenly distribute diced Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups over top.
Lightly press them onto the coated cereal.
Serve, and enjoy!
