How To Make Easy Rum Balls

Sink your teeth into these decadent rum balls loaded with cookies, nuts, and boozy rum. This four-ingredient sweet treat makes the best dessert to munch on.

Ingredients

  • 3cupsOreos,crushed, whole cookies including the middles
  • cupswalnuts,finely chopped
  • 3tbspheavy cream
  • cupdark rum

For Optional Coatings:

  • chocolate sprinkles
  • coconut
  • cocoa powder
  • sprinkles
  • nuts,chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine the crushed Oreos, walnuts, cream in a medium bowl, then mix well.

  2. Add the rum starting with ¼ cup and adding more if needed to create a consistency that holds its shape when rolled.

  3. Using a small scoop or melon baller, scoop the dough and roll them into balls.

  4. Roll in sprinkles, coconut or other desired toppings.

  5. Serve, and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

  • If you add too much rum to the mixture, add in more cookie crumbs to get desired consistency. Note that the crumbs do soak up the liquids as they sit.
  • You can also refrigerate the rum balls 2 days before serving.
