Add the rice krispies cereal, kettle chips, and pretzels in a large mixing bowl and set aside.
Spray a 13×9-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray then set aside.
Over medium-low heat, melt butter in a non-stick pot. Add the marshmallows, then cook and stir constantly until marshmallows have melted.
Remove from heat. Pour the Rice Krispies cereal mixture into the marshmallow mixture and gently stir and toss with a spatula to evenly coat. Then, pour the mixture into the prepared 13×9-inch baking dish.
Spray a spatula with non-stick cooking spray. Using the spatula, spread and gently press the mixture into an even layer in the baking pan.
Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl on 50 percent power in 30-second intervals, stirring between intervals until melted and smooth.
Pour and spread chocolate evenly over Rice Krispie treats. Sprinkle evenly with sprinkles if desired.
Let the chocolate set in the refrigerator, then return to room temperature to rest.
