How To Make Easy Buckeyes

Buckeyes are tasteful balls of creamy peanut butter dipped in chocolate. These easy no-bake candies make the perfect gift for the season of giving.

Ingredients

  • cupspeanut butter
  • ½cupbutter,softened
  • ½tspvanilla
  • 4cupspowdered sugar
  • 3cupssemi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1tbspshortening,or coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Combine the peanut butter, butter, and vanilla with a mixer on medium, until fluffy.

  2. Mix in the powdered sugar a little bit at a time until incorporated.

  3. Chill the mixture for 30 minutes.

  4. Roll the mixture into balls, then place them on a parchment lined pan.

  5. Chill the mixture again for 30 minutes.

  6. Combine the chocolate chips and shortening in a small bowl.

  7. Microwave at 50 percent power for 1 minute.

  8. Stir, then continue microwaving in 30-second increments just until melted.

  9. Place a toothpick into each peanut butter ball, then dip them in the chocolate, leaving a bit of the peanut butter peeking out the top.

  10. Place on a parchment-lined pan, then chill for another 20 minutes.

  11. Serve chilled, and enjoy!
