Nutella Fruit French Toast Cannoli Recipe

How To Make Nutella Fruit French Toast Cannoli

Start your day with a sweet and fruity breakfast. Fresh berries, banana, and Nutella wrapped in French toast, this cannoli recipe will brighten up your day.

  • 1egg
  • 2tbspskim or low fat milk
  • ½tspvanilla extract
  • 8slicessandwich bread of choice
  • 4tbspNutelladivided or any hazelnut chocolate/cacao spread
  • ½cupsliced strawberriessmall pieces
  • Handful of blueberries
  • 1ripebananacut in thirds
  • ¼cupgranulated sugar or cinnamon sugar for coatingoptional, about only 1 tbsp is used per cannoli
  • butter for greasing


  1. Whisk the eggs, milk, and vanilla together in a medium-sized shallow bowl, large enough to fit the rolls, and set aside.

  2. Cut the crust from the bread pieces, and with a rolling pin, gently roll out and flatten each piece of bread. Be careful not to press too hard or they will break.

  3. Spread 1/2 tablespoon Nutella onto each bread piece.

  4. Fill 1/3 of the bread slice with the strawberries/blueberries or banana, and roll the bread up gently and tightly around the fruit side first until a roll has formed. Set aside seam side down. Repeat with the remaining bread until all rolls are done.

  5. Heat pan on low-medium heat. Add a little butter or a spray of cooking oil.

  6. Dip the rolls into the egg mixture, turning them to coat evenly, and place them seam side down into the pan. Cook until golden brown, making sure to turn them about every 2 to 3 minutes so they brown evenly on all sides.

  7. While they’re cooking, pour the sugar onto a small plate.

  8. When fully cooked, remove them and place them immediately into the sugar. Roll them until completely covered.
