How To Make Cheese & Onion Toast

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.

  3. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet. Toast them in the preheated oven for 5 minutes until lightly golden.

  4. Remove the toasted bread from the oven and top each slice with the caramelized onions.

  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the onions.

  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  8. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve hot.
