  • 8brioche bread,or other dense bread, thickly sliced
  • 4eggs
  • 1cupmilk
  • 1tbspsugar
  • 1tspvanilla
  • ½tspcinnamon
  • pinchsalt
  • 2tbspbutter

Instructions

  1. Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a shallow bowl or dish.

  2. Preheat a skillet over medium-low heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to melt.

  3. Dip both sides of the bread into egg mixture allowing a few seconds for the egg to soak into the bread.

  4. Place the bread in the pan and cook over medium-low heat for 4 minutes per side or until cooked through. Add more butter as needed for the remaining bread.
