This Hawaiian French toast will make your usual toast extraordinary topped with crunchy sliced almonds and maple syrup to make it more flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 12Sweet Hawaiian Bread slices
  • 3eggs
  • 2cupsmilk
  • 1tbspvanilla extract
  • 1tbspbrown sugar
  • 1tbspcinnamon
  • ¼cupalmonds,sliced
  • ½cuppowdered sugar
  • 2cupsmaple syrup

Instructions

  1. Whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla, brown sugar, and cinnamon together in a bowl until completely mixed.

  2. Dip the bread in the mixture for 1 to 2 seconds on each side.

  3. Let excess mixture drip into the bowl.

  4. Melt butter onto griddle.

  5. Cook on medium for 3 to 4 minutes then flip and cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes.

  6. Top with sliced almonds, a dusting of powdered sugar, and maple syrup.
