How To Make Classic French Toast

Brunch won’t be complete without some french toast! Our french toast recipe has the basic sweet breakfast treat flavor, and takes only 15 minutes to make.

  • 2large eggs
  • 1cupwhole milk
  • ½tspcinnamon
  • tspnutmeg
  • 2tspvanilla extract
  • 1tbspsugar
  • 8slicesbread,thick sliced bread, texas toast bread or french bread
  • 2tbspunsalted butter


  1. Whisk together the egg, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and sugar in a bowl.

  2. Dip the bread in, coating both sides to let the milk soak in.

  3. Add the butter to a heavy bottomed skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. Add the bread in, then cook until browned on both sides.

  5. Serve with maple syrup or honey, and enjoy!
