How To Make Curtis Stone’s Cinnamon French Toast

Fragrant cinnamon french toast is served with a homemade berry sauce to make a sweet breakfast fare that’s perfect for any occasion.

For French Toast:

  • 6largeeggs
  • 4slicebrioche bread
  • 2tbspbutter
  • ¼cupsugar
  • 2tspground cinnamon
  • cupcrème fraîche

For Berry Sauce:

  • 1pkgblackberries
  • 1pkgraspberries
  • 1pkgblueberries
  • 1cupsugar


  1. To prepare the berry sauce: Using a hand blender, combine all berries and sugar and puree until smooth

Berry Sauce:

  1. Using a hand blender, combine all berries and sugar and puree until smooth. Push berries through a fine sieve, discarding seeds and reserving the sauce.

  2. Place sauce in a small saucepan over moderate heat and allow sauce to warm; keep warm until ready to serve over French toast.

French Toast:

  1. Using a fork, beat the eggs in a 13×9-inch baking dish to blend. Place the slices of brioche in the egg mixture. Let stand for 5 minutes or until the eggs are absorbed, turning the brioche slices once.

  2. Melt butter on Breville Indoor BBQ & Grill over medium heat. Place the brioche slices on the grill and cook for about 2 minutes per side or until golden brown on the outside and heated through.

  3. Meanwhile, stir the sugar and cinnamon on a large plate or pie dish. Transfer the French toast to a cutting board and cut the French toast diagonally in half.

  4. Immediately place the hot French toast in the cinnamon-sugar and turn to coat completely. Divide the French toast among 4 serving plates and generously drizzle with the berry sauce. Spoon a dollop of crème fraîche atop each and serve immediately.
