How To Make Brûléed Pumpkin French Toast Sticks

Our French toast sticks are soaked in a tasty pumpkin-egg custard, then caramelized to golden perfection. Whip this up for a quick breakfast treat!

  • 1French Bread loaf,large, cut into 1-inch sticks
  • 1⅔cupmilk
  • 6large eggs
  • ¾cuppumpkin puree
  • 2tspvanilla extract
  • 2tbspgranulated sugar
  • ½cuplight brown sugar,plus 2 tbsp, packed, divided
  • 2tspground cinnamon
  • ½tspground nutmeg
  • ¼tspground ginger
  • 2tbspbutter


  1. Bake the bread in a 275 degrees F oven for 10 minutes.

  2. Add the milk, eggs, pumpkin, vanilla, sugar, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger in a bowl together, rhen whisk until combined.

  3. Put ½ tablespoon of butter in a pan or large griddle.

  4. Dunk the bread into the custard, then cook on a griddle on medium heat until browned on all sides.

  5. Roll the sticks in the ½ cup of brown sugar, then place it back on the griddle; cooking until the brown sugar is melted on all sides.

  6. Serve with maple syrup, or enjoy as is!
