How To Make Butterfinger Ice Cream

Munch on a cold bowl of sweet butterfinger ice cream, loaded with everyone’s favorite Butterfinger candy, for a smooth and crunchy treat!

Freeze Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
Total: 1 hour 25 minutes



  • 1cupheavy cream
  • cupsugar
  • 3egg yolks
  • 1cupmilk,whole milk recommended
  • 1tspvanilla extract
  • pinchsalt
  • 2butterfinger bars,crumbled, plus extra for topping


  1. Whisk together the heavy cream, sugar, and yolks in a saucepan over medium heat until the mixture thickens and will coat the back of a spoon.

  2. Remove from heat, then whisk in the milk, vanilla, and salt until combined.

  3. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour or until it has chilled.

  4. Process the mixture in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Add in the crumbled Butterfingers around 5 minutes before it is ready.

  5. Remove the mixture from the ice cream maker, then freeze until it reaches the desired consistency.

  6. Serve topped with additional crumbled Butterfingers, and enjoy!
