White Chocolate Brownies Recipe

Speckled with white chocolate, this black and white brownie is deliciously different.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz imported white chocolate cut up
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • dash of salt
  • 6 semisweet or bittersweet chocolate cut up
  • 1/2 cup walnuts chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a 2-quart glass bowl, combine white chocolate pieces, sugar, and butter.
  3. Heat in microwave oven on high about 1 1/2 minutes, or until melted and smooth when stirred.
  4. With a whisk or fork, beat in eggs and vanilla until well blended.
  5. Add flour, baking powder, and salt and stir until well mixed.
  6. Stir in chocolate and walnuts.
  7. Spread evenly in a buttered, foil-lined 7x11 inch baking pan.
  8. Bake 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Do not over-bake.
  10. Let cool, then cut into 24 pieces.
