Marshmallow Crunch Brownie Bars Recipe

How To Make Marshmallow Crunch Brownie Bars

These brownie bars have a dark chocolate brownie base, a fluffy marshmallow layer, and a crispy topping. These treats have 3 different kinds of chocolate.

  • ¾cupbutter,melted
  • cupswhite sugar
  • 2tspvanilla extract
  • 3eggs
  • 1⅓cupsall-purpose flour
  • ¾cupunsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½tspsalt
  • ¾cupdark chocolate chips
  • 16ozminiature marshmallows,(1 bag)
  • 2cupsdark chocolate chips
  • 2tbspbutter,unsalted
  • cupsNutella
  • 4cupsRice Krispies cereal


Brownie Layer:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter and flour or use baking spray a 13 by 9-inch pan.

  2. In a large bowl or your stand mixer, add the butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs.

  3. Add in the cocoa powder, ¾ cup dark chocolate chips and salt and until well combined.

  4. Add in the flour until just combined.

  5. Bake about 25 to 28 minutes or just until done in the center.

  6. Add the bag of marshmallows over the top.

  7. In a microwave safe bowl, add the 2 cups dark chocolate chips and butter and melt in 30-second increments until fully melted.

  8. Add in the Nutella and whisk completely.

  9. Add in the Rice Krispies Cereal and fold to combine with a spatula.

  10. Add evenly over the top of the marshmallow layer and pat down slightly to form a cohesive layer.

  11. Refrigerate until completely chilled.

  12. For even easier cutting, you can put the brownies in the freezer for a couple of hours to let the marshmallows harden a bit to get nice clean cuts between brownies.
