How To Make No Bake Sweet Marie Bars

Soft, chewy with a nutty surprise, these Canadian sweet Marie bars are made with rice cereal, peanuts, and chocolate chips for a decadent no-bake treat.

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • ½cuppeanut butter
  • ½cupcorn syrup
  • ½cupbrown sugar
  • 1tbspbutter
  • 2cupscrispy rice cereal
  • 1cuppeanuts
  • 1cupchocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare an 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.

  2. Cook and stir peanut butter, corn syrup, brown sugar, and butter together in a large saucepan over medium-low heat for 5 minutes until boiling.

  3. Fold crispy rice cereal and peanuts into the peanut butter mixture; press into the prepared baking dish.

  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top of the hot mixture. Let chocolate chips melt; spread chocolate over the top in an even layer.

  5. Refrigerate until the mixture hardens, about 1 hour.

  6. Serve and enjoy.
