
How To Make German Chocolate Brownies
These chocolate brownies take inspiration from the classic German chocolate cake, with its sweet coconut and pecan frosting in one perfect bite.

For Chocolate Brownies:
- ½cupunsalted butter,melted
- 1cupsugar
- 2large eggs
- 2tspvanilla extract
- ⅓cupunsweetened cocoa powder
- ½cupflour
- ¼tspsalt
- ¼tspbaking powder
- 1cuppecans,chopped
For Coconut Pecan Topping:
- ¼cupunsalted butter
- 1cupbrown sugar,packed
- ¼cupcorn syrup
- ¼cupwhole milk
- 2cupssweetened shredded coconut
- 1cuppecans,chopped
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8×8-inch baking pan with baking spray.

Whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Then, mix in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.

Spread the batter evenly into greased baking pan. Sprinkle 1 cup of chopped pecans over the batter evenly.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

Add the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and milk to a medium saucepan on medium heat, then cook until just melted.

Stir well until smooth, then mix in the coconut and pecans.

Spread over the brownies, then bake an additional 6 to 8 minutes until bubbly.
