Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped cherries
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a baking pan.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the almond butter, maple syrup, almond milk, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

  4. Fold in the chopped cherries and chopped almonds.

  5. Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and spread it evenly.

  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  7. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.

  8. Serve and enjoy!
