How To Make French Silk Pie Bars

These pie bars are steeped in the indulgence of the classic French silk pie. They have a chocolate graham crust & a rich filling topped with whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 9sheetschocolate graham crackers,crushed
  • 2tbspsugar
  • 6tbspbutter,melted
  • 4ozbaking chocolate,unsweetened
  • 1cupsalted butter,softened
  • cuppowdered sugar
  • 1tspvanilla extract
  • 4whole eggs
  • fresh whipped cream and chocolate shavings,for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Line an 8×8-inch pan with aluminum foil. In a medium sized bowl combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter.

  2. Press into the bottom of the 8×8 inch pan and bake for 10 minutes. Let the crust completely cool.

  3. In a small microwave safe bowl melt the unsweetened baking chocolate 30 seconds at a time until smooth. Let cool to room temperature.

  4. In the bowl of a stand mixer beat the butter and powdered sugar about 2 minutes until creamy. Add the melted chocolate mixture and beat until incorporated. Add the vanilla.

  5. Using the whisk attachment add one egg at a time beating 5 minutes on medium speed between each addition.

  6. Pour over the chocolate graham cracker crust and refrigerate for 3 hours or until set.
