Add some depth to your brownies with the addition of cherry preserves. You’ll be shocked at how much better they are this way! If you absolutely despise cherries though, try strawberry preserve instead. Everybody loves strawberries and chocolate, so you can’t go wrong with that combination.
How To Make Cherry Brownies
Brownie alone is already good how much more with the addition of cherry preserves. You will be shocked at how cherry and chocolate mix go well together. If you are not a fan of cherries, you can try using strawberry preserves instead.
Mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
In a small saucepan, combine the cherry preserve, water, and butter over medium heat until it boils.
Let it cool slightly and add it to the flour mixture.
Then add in the beaten egg and stir until the batter doesn’t have any lumps in it.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Bake at 350 degrees F in a parchment-lined baking dish for 25 to 30 minutes.
Let it cool and top with cherries if desired.
