How To Make Irish Soda Bread

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the buttermilk while stirring with a wooden spoon until a soft dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead lightly for about 1 minute.

Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on the prepared baking sheet.

Use a sharp knife to make a cross-shaped incision on top of the loaf.

Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
