How To Make Tofu Walnut Burgers with Irish Stout

Ingredients

  • 8ozwalnutschopped
  • 1lbfirm tofudrained and crumbled
  • 1egg
  • ½cupIrish stout beerlike Guinness®
  • 1tbspsoy sauce
  • salt and ground black pepperto taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat, then lightly oil the grate.

  2. Place the walnuts in a food processor, then process until crushed.

  3. Mix the crushed walnuts, tofu, egg, and Irish stout beer in a large bowl until the mixture holds together when lightly squeezed.

  4. Stir in the soy sauce, then season with salt and black pepper.

  5. Form the mixture into six patties.

  6. Grill the patties on the prepared grill for 5 to 7 minutes per side, until browned and set in the middle.

  7. Serve in hamburger buns, and enjoy!
