  • 6 cups stale bread cubes
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, onions, celery, melted butter, vegetable broth, thyme, sage, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  3. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish.

  4. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

  5. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is crispy and golden.

  6. Serve hot as a delicious side dish with your favorite meal.
